Pitching in

One of the projects I worked on during my last visit to Kenya, was talking with the community and the local water committee about protecting the investment that we have made together in the Siana Springs development and water line that Montana on a Mission started in March of this year. The water that is captured and piped to the health clinic, school and water kiosk provides clean drinking water to the community of 2000+. Throughout the last six months the trench where the pipeline was buried has settled. We talked about how important it is to keep the trench filled and covered with rock in order to protect the pipe from breakage and leaks. On Thursday afternoon, after classes finished the eighth graders helped to fill and cover the trench that goes through the school yard. (in exchange for a soda!)

I had lots of help and as you can see from the photos, the boys took the opportunity to show-off, just like teens here at home!
