Sharing the Joy
A couple of weeks ago Denny and Ellen Freed, Josh and I, were in Africa starting a project to provide water to a community of about 2000 people. This involved the development of several springs, laying about 2.5 km of pipe and building 2 tanks and a water station where the families can fill their water cans with CLEAN water. There was so much excitement and joy surrounding the project! We worked alongside the locals and the women would be singing and laughing as they picked and hauled rock. The men were joking and laughing while they were digging and carrying pipe. It was a supernatural blessing for all of us!
Last Sunday Josh and I shared some of the stories and photos from our trip to Kenya at Melville Lutheran Church. Please contact us if you are interested in hearing more about the project. We would love to share the excitement of the clean water project and the joy of our relationship with the wonderful Maasai people with your group!
