Moving In
Wednesday afternoon the assembly team finished building another home, this time it was the Amboyen family. Erick, Maricel and their 5 children pitched in and helped, not only build their own home but assisted in the construction of their neighbors’ homes as well. They demonstrated the true spirit of the Philippine Bayanihan, or “helping each other”. Erick even earned himself a job on one of the Montana on a Mission home assembly crews!
As the front steps were installed, community members, the barrio captain and even Mayor Helen gathered with us for a celebration. It was our Montana team’s last day before heading home so we cheered, toasted and enjoyed the company of our Filippino friends. We shared a prayer together asking for safety for the workers, healing for the country, and the blessing and presence of God’s Holy Spirit in their homes. We will miss you all!
