From Wyatt

Last night the internet was down, so we are sorry for the delay in posting.  Below is a post from Wyatt LaVoy about our events on Saturday, June 1:

Hey there everyone. We are all having a good time here in the Philippines. Today was pretty much the same as yesterday. We woke up and had breakfast at 7:30. We started VBS at 8 and the message of today was about how Jesus died on the cross for our sins. We showed them what the six colors represent, black for sin, red for his blood, blue for the faith we have in him, white for his forgiveness of our sins, green for our spiritual growth and yellow for heaven where we will go when we die if we believe in him. For the crafts we made them bead bracelets with all six of the colors and gave it to them. Then at 11 we all ate lunch together, fried chicken, pork chops, and of course rice. Most of the kids stuck around after words and we played basketball and tag with them. The older boys were supposed to come for the basketball camp but never showed up, probably because it was too hot. But there were a few that did come from yesterday, so we swam with them and the little kids. It started raining and then they went home. Right now I’m doing the blog before we go and eat dinner. I can see the love for God these kids have and I hope we are making a difference. Here are some pictures of today.

Wonderful to read your blogs and to follow what’s happening with our neighbors! Bryan played your video in church this morning. FANTASTIC!! We need to do more of this on mission trips. It really makes it real to us back at home. (Girls, I particularly loved the ending at the pool–tee hee). Blessings and prayer, Ellen

Thank you Wyatt. It sounds like you are all keeping busy and it is wonderful that you can see a difference you make. Each of you are making memories for these students and yourselves. May God bless you all today as you keep His light shinning.

PS I didn’t receive this in my inbox. I just went into my missions file and checked on it.
