A note from Kalena
Hello to all. I had no way of writing to anyone so I am using Ellen’s computer at the moment. The flights were good but the time was very long. There was a fair amount of groundwork that we had to do before we could really get started but we are moving now.
For me the biggest thing so far has been getting to meet and make friends with my sponsor child. I found out about her and her brother from Denny in February. Her name is Almera and her brother is Nap. They were no longer welcome in their own home. With help from MOM we found they have a Grandmother who loves them and we were about to get a house built. Now they are living with her and are safe. I was able to see them one day at school and then we went to their home. They were very shy both times. On Saturday I had Almera and Nap up to the house along with a few other kids. I was here with them all day but by the end of the day we were good friends. They came to church today and to the children’s Jesus film afterward. It was very sweet for me because Almera saved me a seat by her and wanted me to sit with her.
For me the best thing and the hardest is doing things outside of my comfort zone. It is very good for me to do, even though I don’t like to. Please pray for all of us to have wisdom, guidence, and patience. Also , to do what ever we need to or are supposed to do even if we don’t feel like it, or want to, or are afraid to. Thank you all for your prayers and support.

p.s. Mom, my health is good and I am being careful. Give that brother of mine a big hug from me.
