Gone Fishin’ & Last Goodbye’s

Today Katie, Cody, Nickolas, Sterling and I spent some time at the People’s Organization of Agape and Camayaan Aquaculture facility.  I got to meet all the people I have been corresponding with for the past year or so.  Greg explained to me how the organization works  and showed me the new expansion that they have been working on.  It was undoubtedly the best day for me on this trip.  We talked about fish culture and feeding, oxygen and predators.  It was just like being in Montana talking to other fish hatchery folks.  As we talked, they had each of us catch a few fish that the hatchery worker took to her ‘hut’ and cooked in coconut oil over an open fire.  She mixed up a dip that was made of coconut vinegar plus red pepper and onion.  I couldn’t believe how good that fish was.  After that, we closed our day at the production center making last minute decisions and helping organize the lumber.  Mery and Laura were in Balilihan taking maore photos and collecting stories there of our friends Analyn and Angelyn.  MOM provided wheelchairs to them not long ago to help them move outside for some fresh air.  After that, they finished the trip at the construction sites capturing the last moments of our trip.  One important note that I almost forgot.  At each site, we took time to stop and let people know that we were there to help them because of our love for Jesus Christ and took time to pray for each of them.  It really made a great ending for our trip.

Tomorrow, we depart at 6:30am and will be “off the radar” for most of the next day or so.  Stay tuned to our arrival in Seattle.  Goodbye for now!!
