Day ?: Total Exhaustion
I think this is day seven and total exhaustion might be the best way to describe how I feel right now! I don’t think I have ever preached this many times in such a short span, 9 times in 6 days not including the day we touched down and Monday. In spite of it I feel like it has been a huge blessing to come. There aren’t really the words to describe everything that has happened but there are some things I will remember.
Time withe the Kids from the Orphanage — Tonight we went to one of the two orphanages. The kids were so excited to see us. Ten minutes of playing with the kids, wresting and tickling were enough to wear us out but just seeing the kids laugh and play was enough to make my day.
The Pastors Gatherings — We had two pastors gatherings, one last Saturday with over 150 pastors and another one today we around 20 some pastors. The pastors we met with today came from miles around to spend an hour with us.
Driving in Madurai — If I come again remind me to take out more insurance. Driving here is enough to grow your faith. One learns how to pray well with oncoming buses and three cars side by side each hoping the pass the other before getting smucked.
And More… to many more things to really describe.
All I know is that I will appreciate home more than ever before. The number of conveniences we have are astounding. Our conveniences have spoiled us and I want to remember these people’s commitment level in comparison to the commitment that I so often see in the United States.
I am also so thankful to all of you who helped us to come! You really are helping people a world away in ways that we might not be able to fully explain, but in ways that show the love of Christ. THANK YOU!
