As much as we strive to focus on development and programs that will help communities on the road to helping themselves, there are times for crisis relief and unfortunately this is one of those times. Montana on a Mission is responding with emergency food relief to families at all of our project communities this week due to the severe and prolonged drought in the area. We will be distributing a month supply of staple food items to the most vulnerable families. Providing food or around 4000 people.
Last week a category 4 typhoon (Odette) hit the Philippines and the island of Bohol where M.O.M. works. The typhoon devastated much of the island, ripping off roofs, toppling trees and causing massive flooding. We are currently responding with clean water, food and shelter, and working on a plan to assist with clean up and housing. If you are interested in helping with either of these efforts financially, please make a donation through our webpage (see link in comments) or send a check to:
M.O.M. P.O. Box 696 Big Timber, MT 59011 Please reference “disaster relief” in the memo of your check or choose that option on our donation page.
Please pray for all the families struggling in the Philippines and in Kenya.
