My YTK Experience – Caleb
This summer I got the chance to go on a mission trip to Kenya. Over the course of this trip we spent our time with the Massai people. One of the many things that we were shown over the course of this trip was their love for each other and their love for us. We were shown what community should be like as well as how to take part in such a community. The love and the kindness from the communities we visited was awesome to see and experience!
My YTK Experience – Keegan
Kenya was one of the most unique and humbling experiences I have ever had. All of the stuff we did and all of the people we met were truly amazing. I thinks the highest part or the best part of my trip would have had to be the people that we met and the relationships we made with them. They are so full of Gods love and are willing to give so much even though they have so little.
My YTK Experience – Bella
Kenya was such an amazing and unforgettable experience. I made some amazing new friends and strengthened relationships that I already had. I will never forget the feeling of smiling into a child’s eyes and feeling the love through a squeeze of a hand or a enthusiastic hello, or “supa”. They are so loving and happy you can really see how the love and Light of God shines through them. They may not have much, but they have love. The Maasai people taught me to keep on smiling when things are bad, and keep on going when things are hard.
