Helping Hungry Kids

A year ago we adopted about 40 malnourished kids from the Calunasansur Elementary school and started a lunch program to try to help provide some care and nourishment for these needy children. There are 180 kids who attend the school.

Each child gets a healthy lunch of rice, a vegetable or fruit and some other side. For $12.50 a month we can give one child one meal a day and a snack which can make the difference between malnourished and healthy. We are currently looking for 50 sponsors to sponsor the feeding program. $25.00 a month will feed two kids. $12.50 a month will feed one child. We currently have 6 people sponsoring at $25.00 and month and 3-4 more at $12.50 a month.

The Feeding program is a huge success. Pedrito, the school principle and several of the teachers have already said that the children are healthier and more attentive in the classroom.
