Bohol, Philippines
Greetings!
This is Denny and Ellen from Bohol. We have been here for two weeks and plan to leave for Seattle on this coming wednesday the 13th, a quick trip for us. We have not come with a team this time, instead we have focused on fact-finding and program evaluation. We have spent a lot of time with Along and Enday, managers of our home and Along the barrio captain.
We discussed the various programs here and have gained more insight as to how to best move forward in this and other barrios. There are frustrations with some and successes with others. It seems to us that focusing on education and scholarships has been the best investment MOM has made. There also is a crisis food need for some. And finally we need to better minister to the spiritual needs of all ages.
We want to bring this information to the next Board meeting and discuss all with those who are all familiar with Calunasan Sur.
It’s been great following Bryan and Jay’s blog. I’m sure they’ll have lots to share with everyone and with MOM when they get back. It is special to have them in one part of the globe and we in another with our prayer supports in Montana!
We’ve also really appreciated being able to follow the prayer request that Debbie has sent out. We have been able to pray along with the rest of you and see God answer many prayers.
We miss you all and hope to see you soon.
Blessings from Bohol,
Denny and Ellen

We are praying for you over there! Kallie is in Guam now, almost a neighbor to you. I know God will direct your plans in the Philippines and move things forward. God bless you bunches!
