We just returned from Kenya and had the opportunity to visit the Lower Oloosekin school and check in on the new school lunch program, which just completed its second month. The students are thriving, and the school is growing! They now have 73 students, up from 60 at the start of the term in January. Thank YOU for bringing opportunity, education, clean water and nutrition to these students! If you’re not a lunch program sponsor, please consider becoming a monthly donor at $30/ month to ensure that all students get a nutritious lunch at this growing school.
Sponsoring the school lunch program has a significant impact on the lives of children and their communities. In this rural community children come from low-income families and struggle to access basic necessities such as food. The school lunch program provides these children with a daily nutritious meal, which improves their health, concentration, and academic performance.
The school lunch program can also have a positive ripple effect on the community. When children are well-fed and healthy, they are more likely to attend school regularly, which can increase their chances of completing their education and pursuing higher education or vocational training. This, in turn, can lead to better job prospects and higher income levels for individuals and their families.
By supporting this program, YOU can help to break the cycle of poverty and improve the lives of children and their families.
