YTK 2017 – Day 5
On Tuesday we had the opportunity to visit Oiti, one of the boreholes completed by Montana on a Mission in November of last year. It’s just amazing to see the happy people now able to collect sparkling, clear water for their families to drink. Drilling and equipping a borehole is an expensive endeavor. An average solar powered borehole at 200 Meters costs around $40,000. All of this is possible because of the generosity of regular people giving what they can to make a difference for families on the other side of the globe. If you feel called to become a part of this work you can commit to pray or donate at: montanaonamission.org/donate
After visiting the Oiti borehole we went to Margaret’s home and workshop where she oversees a group of 100 local women who put their hand beading skills to work adorning belts, bracelets, necklaces and other items to make an extra income to help support their families, most with the hope of sending their children to school.
