Ilturisho has to be one of our most memorable and encouraging projects so far. The Ilturisho borehole was our very first experience with drilling a well in Kenya. It has since expanded to include a pipeline to the school and a public kiosk along the area’s main road. There are 3 fetching taps and sets of water troughs for livestock along the nearly 1 1/2 miles of pipeline. The project is providing clean water to more than 4000 people!
The community has taken ownership of the project seriously. They are doing a wonderful job maintaining and protecting it.
