Thank you for signing up to serve during Homeward Bound 2017! We LOVE loving on our own community during this fun seven days of local community service.

We are continually adding new projects to the list, and as we work throughout the week, projects change, finish early, grow unexpectedly or become moving targets, depending on the number of volunteers that show up each day and what kinds of needs arise as we work. Please sign up for the projects you are interested in and have a skill to share, but be prepared to be flexible and ready to serve wherever is needed that day, too.

Unless otherwise noted, projects begin right after breakfast. If you can’t join us from the state, please just note when you’ll be available that day and we’ll plug you in to a project when you arrive!

  • Bring baked goods to the Big Timber Evangelical Church, any time before July 30

 

  • SUNDAY, JULY 30
    • 1 p.m.: Community cookie Delivery Day! Deliver sweet treats to Big Timber “just because,” and ask how we can serve during Homeward Bound
  • SUNDAY, AUGUST 13
    • 6 p.m.: Free community concert on the lawn of the Lutheran Church. Join us to kick off Homeward Bound and celebrate!
  • MONDAY, AUGUST 14 (Breakfast at 7:30 a.m.)
    • BACKPACK to SCHOOL pack assembly (indoor)
    • Residential construction project (bring: tools)
    • Firewood gathering (bring: gloves, chainsaw, trailer)
    • Care package assembly (indoor)

  • TUESDAY, AUGUST 15 (breakfast at 7:30 a.m.)
    • Public places gardening (bring: gloves, gardening tools, pickups)
    • Residential construction project (bring: tools)
    • Meals assembly for families (indoor)
    • Residential cleaning project (bring: gloves, cleaning supplies)

  • WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16 (breakfast at 7:30 a.m.)
    • Wheel chair ramp construction (bring: tools)
    • PMC activity (afternoon, great for families)

  • THURSDAY, AUGUST 17 (breakfast at 7:30 a.m.)
    • Youth Service Day! (afternoon)
    • Residential gardening projects (bring: outdoor tools)

  • FRIDAY, AUGUST 18 (breakfast at 7:30 a.m.)

    • Community-wide, drive-by service day (ALL HANDS ON DECK! Bring: dump trailers, gloves, lots of friends and family members!)

    • FREE Community barbeque potluck and ice cream social – open to all! Join us in the City Park at 1 p.m., bring a side dish to share.
